I am always asked about how I find time to get out each day or to head out on a new adventure. The short answer is that it’s a lifestyle.

It’s not about just making time to get out or to exercise. It should not be the first thing you sacrifice when schedules get tight or money scarce. There is always time and not everything costs a fortune to experience. Some days may just involve a hike down the trails or a run. You don’t need expensive gear or a trust fund to enjoy the outdoors. For me, I place extreme importance on where I choose to live to make my lifestyle a reality. Living anywhere else would just be to inconvenient and not allow me the ease of access that a mountain town provides. I do not believe that everyone can or should live in a mountain town, but my message here is to think outside the box and be creative. Be honest with yourself about what makes you happy and what you want to get out of life—then go for it and don’t look back.
